Where can I take part?
For our activities
we need your participation
The core task of the Nexus Experiments project is to enable participation. Our audience should not only gain an insight into current research, but also enter into a discussion with the scientists about the social challenges of new technologies in order to contribute their own ideas, formulate concerns and hopes and question preconceptions. That’s why you’ll find plenty of opportunities to take part in events on this page – especially if you live in the Freiburg area.
Subscribe to the blog or the Bernstein-Werkstatt email distribution list. You can also find us on Facebook and Instagram and are welcome to post under #nexperiments. Everything that arises between art and neuroscience has its place here!
On this website, you will find all of the project’s previous activities, which have so far run under the name “Reaching Out”, under the heading “Experiments”. The documentary film Störung as well as the texts by Annette Pehnt are available on this surface for the first time. Feel free to let us know on Facebook or by e-mail how you like the site and the individual experiments.
The “Lab” area allows us to try out participatory content online. Three labs will soon be available for you to test your moral compass or how well you can assess technologies. You can become a sponsor yourself in the “Valuing bodies” lab: You can evaluate real technologies in a fictitious crowdfunding exercise. Your voting results help us to create new events.
You can also become active yourself: In the self-experiments section, we have prepared instructions and working materials if you want to repeat certain formats in your city. We are always happy to receive feedback and ideas for new events.
